Welcome to Rate Me, a social feedback application owned and operated by Lucyd Labs LLP. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the app, related public links, and any associated services.
By using the app, creating an account, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to be bound by these terms together with our Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, and Disclaimer Notice. If this document is not in a language you understand, contact us at support@rateme.life.
Acceptance of the Terms
- These Terms of Use form a legally binding agreement between you and Lucyd Labs LLP concerning your access to and use of the Rate Me app and related digital services.
- If you do not agree to all of these terms, you must not use the app or purchase any subscription plan.
- We may update these terms from time to time by revising the last updated date on this page.
- The app is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older.
- Payments for paid subscriptions are currently processed through Apple's in-app purchase systems under Apple's own payment terms and privacy policies.
Our Service Commitment
Our goal is to provide a safe, meaningful rating and feedback ecosystem where users can create links, share them, receive feedback, and generate useful rating cards.
Rate Me is built around simplicity, transparency, and anonymity so feedback can stay focused on the selected category rather than personal identifiers.
Platform Overview
The platform allows users to create accounts or anonymous links, request ratings, receive comments, manage categories, generate final cards, and share results through outside channels.
Rate Me is designed to turn structured feedback into actionable insights for individuals and communities.
Types of Users and Registration
Normal Users
Normal Users can create a username, maintain one active rating link at a time, receive ratings, view limited raw rating values, and generate a final rating card after enough ratings have been collected.
Paid Users
Paid Users subscribe to monthly or yearly plans to unlock premium features such as custom categories, full raw-rating visibility, full comment visibility, analytics, and enhanced final cards.
Usernames are persistent identifiers. When a rating session ends, a new link ID may be generated, but the underlying account and username continue. We may remove or change a username if we determine it is inappropriate, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
Account Registration Process
Registration is anonymous and limited to users aged 18 or older. Rate Me does not ask for traditional personal identifiers such as full name, email address, or phone number to create a standard account.
Authentication is based on UUID and device-level identifiers, and if a chosen username is already taken, the system may append random digits to make it unique.
You are responsible for ensuring your username and use of the service comply with these terms and our community standards.
Subscription Plans and Payment
- Paid subscriptions are available on monthly and yearly billing cycles.
- Premium feature access remains available only while the subscription is active.
- Subscription pricing may change in the future in accordance with platform rules and applicable notice requirements.
- Rate Me provides subscription content and services but does not directly collect, process, or store your payment credentials.
- Billing procedures, payment disputes, transaction errors, and platform-managed refunds may also be governed by Apple or any future authorized payment provider.
Refund and Cancellation
- Payments for subscriptions, upgrades, and paid features are generally final and non-refundable once activated.
- No refunds are issued for unused subscription time, dissatisfaction with ratings or comments, misunderstanding of app functionality, or account suspension for policy violations.
- Stopping a subscription prevents future billing but does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing cycle.
- If a payment processing error occurs, any approved refund may take up to seven working days to appear depending on banking or payment-provider timelines.
Managing Your Account
Through the app, you can create categories, manage rating sessions, enable or disable anonymous comments where available, generate rating links, and share or save final cards. Visibility of ratings, comments, and analytics may depend on your subscription level and feature settings.
You are responsible for all actions performed under your account, including sharing links, receiving ratings, generating cards, and purchasing subscriptions. Misuse of the platform may result in suspension or termination without refund.
Content Preferences and Posting
- Users create and share unique rating links, select categories, optionally enable anonymous comments, and distribute those links on external platforms.
- Comments may be filtered in real time using AI or machine-learning moderation tools to detect harmful, abusive, or otherwise unsafe content.
- We may suppress, restrict, remove, or limit visibility of moderated content without that constituting a service failure or giving rise to compensation.
- Final rating cards may include a username, category, date, final score with optional Bayesian smoothing, and selected comments depending on feature availability.
Representations by the User
- You represent that any information you provide will be true, current, and complete.
- You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable law.
- If you provide false or incomplete information, or if you misuse the service, we may suspend or terminate your access.
- You must not use abusive, derogatory, offensive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate language when interacting with users or support.
Reviews and User Submissions
Ratings, comments, and similar submissions reflect the views of the users who post them, not the views of Rate Me. We are a neutral platform and do not verify every user submission for accuracy.
We may remove, block, disable, or edit any rating, comment, final card, or related submission that we consider objectionable, harmful, misleading, or in breach of these terms.
Changes to the Terms
We may change, modify, or amend these Terms of Use and any incorporated policy at any time for legal, regulatory, operational, or other legitimate business reasons. Continued use of the platform after updates means the revised terms apply.
Ownership of Intellectual Property
- We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the services only as permitted by these terms.
- Except for user-submitted ratings and comments, the source code, databases, software, designs, text, graphics, logos, and other platform content are owned or controlled by us or licensed to us.
- You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, transmit, sell, license, or otherwise exploit our content or marks without prior written permission except as expressly allowed by law.
Prohibited Activities
- Retrieve data or other content from the app to create a competing collection, database, directory, or dataset without written permission.
- Trick, defraud, or mislead us or other users, including attempts to bypass platform restrictions or misuse device-based controls.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features or usage limitations on the app or its content.
- Make improper use of support channels or submit false abuse, misconduct, or payment reports.
- Use the app in violation of applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
Marketing and Advertising
- We may use limited account-related data such as username and device identifiers to support marketing communications, in-app notifications, installation tracking, and promotion of subscription features.
- Third-party advertising or analytics providers may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own privacy practices.
- We may use profiling or preference analysis to improve recommendations and marketing relevance where permitted by law.
Term and Termination
- We may suspend, deactivate, or terminate your access immediately if you materially breach these terms or related policies, violate applicable law, or create safety or fraud risks.
- You may stop using the service at any time and may terminate your account through the app or by contacting support.
- After termination, your right to access the service ends automatically, though residual data may remain where legally required or operationally necessary.
Our Role and Disclaimer
- Rate Me is a digital social feedback platform and does not become a party to disputes or relationships between users.
- We do not guarantee the truth, safety, legality, suitability, quality, or accuracy of ratings, comments, shared cards, or other user-generated content.
- We may review, remove, edit, disable, or restrict content identified as harmful, abusive, misleading, or otherwise objectionable.
- We are not responsible for outages, interruptions, third-party platform behavior, or temporary unavailability caused by maintenance, security, or capacity constraints.
Other Applicable Policies
By using Rate Me, you also agree to the Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, and Disclaimer Notice made available through the app. Those documents work together with these Terms of Use.
Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
The parties agree to first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith mutual discussion. If that does not resolve the issue, disputes may be submitted to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, in English.
If a dispute is not resolved through arbitration, the courts of India will have jurisdiction. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
Limitation of Liability and Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rate Me and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and suppliers are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from use of the app, purchases, downtime, loss of data, or service changes.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rate Me and related parties against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your breach of these terms, applicable law, third-party rights, payment disputes, or misuse of the service.
General Terms
- These Terms of Use, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, and Disclaimer Notice, form the full agreement between you and Rate Me regarding the services.
- A delay or failure by us to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
- If any provision is held unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, agency, employment, or joint venture relationship between you and Rate Me.
